We’re incredibly proud to support LEBBS (Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes Service), a volunteer charity providing urgent medical transport across Lincolnshire.
To help keep the LEBBS team safely on the road, we’re supporting their fleet of three Voge DS900X motorcycles. While the bikes themselves are not a donation, we’re proud to sponsor the servicing and tyres for these motorcycles, helping ensure they remain safe, reliable, and ready for action whenever they’re needed.
Blood bike volunteers often ride long distances in all weather conditions, transporting urgent medical supplies between hospitals across Lincolnshire & beyond. Regular servicing and high-quality tyres are essential to keeping these bikes operating safely and efficiently.
By supporting the ongoing maintenance of the fleet, we’re helping reduce operational costs for the charity so more of their resources can go directly towards supporting the NHS and the communities they serve.
It’s incredibly rewarding to see these bikes out on the road supporting such an important service and the dedicated volunteers behind it.
What Do Blood Bike Volunteers Do?
Blood bike charities like LEBBS provide rapid-response medical courier services for hospitals and healthcare providers.
Using specially equipped motorcycles and vehicles, volunteer riders transport critical medical items including:
Blood and blood products
Donor breast milk
Urgent medication
Medical equipment and test samples
Initially these deliveries often took place overnight, at weekends, and during emergencies, ensuring hospitals had the supplies they needed at any time. Now in 2026 the team delivers 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
The work of blood bike volunteers helps improve patient care while saving the NHS thousands of pounds every year.
LEBBS in Numbers: Supporting Healthcare Across Lincolnshire
The scale of LEBBS’ work is impressive. In 2025 alone, their volunteers:
Travelled 203,948 operational miles
Averaged around almost 17,000 miles every month
Completed 2,978 hospital visits
Those journeys included:
1,873 routine deliveries
817 planned runs
288 urgent requests
Every mile travelled helps ensure that life-saving medical supplies reach hospitals quickly and safely.
Supporting LEBBS with Voge DS900X Motorcycles
We recently supplied three Voge DS900X motorcycles to the LEBBS fleet to support their life-saving work across Lincolnshire & beyond.
These bikes are designed for long-distance reliability and all-weather riding, making them ideal for the demanding schedules of blood bike volunteers.
To help keep the team safely on the road, we’ll also continue supporting LEBBS with:
Regular servicing
Tyres and maintenance
Ongoing technical support
Providing dependable motorcycles allows LEBBS riders to focus entirely on delivering urgent medical supplies without worrying about their equipment.
Seeing these bikes out on the road supporting such an incredible organisation is something we’re extremely proud of.
Why Blood Bikes Are Vital to the NHS
Blood bike charities play an essential role in the UK healthcare system.
Their volunteers provide a fast, secure and reliable way to transport critical medical supplies between hospitals. Without these services, many of these journeys would require expensive private couriers or NHS staff time.
By stepping in to help, organisations like LEBBS:
Save the NHS significant costs
Improve delivery times for urgent medical items
Support hospitals outside normal working hours
Strengthen community healthcare services
When minutes matter, their work can truly make the difference between life and death.
